Here’s the scary thing about publishing a book. Inevitably, people attribute some type of expertise to the author. That makes sense. If I published a book on techniques on
teaching math to 9th graders, it would be right to assume I had some expertise there. But publishing a book on gospel-centered womanhood is a little different. I don’t have it all together. But then again, if I did, I wouldn’t need the gospel. This book is written by and for women who don’t have it all together. Who struggle. Whose burdens in life sometimes feel overwhelming. This is not a guilt inducing book. God forbid! It would be the height of hypocrisy if I wrote a book that made other women feel guilt because of some imagined pinnacle of Biblical womanhood I had achieved.
Instead, this book is written from moments of my deepest pain and struggle as I walked with other friends through their pain and struggle. God meets us in the worst places and shows how the good news of Jesus’ coming makes an all-surpassing difference in those moments. My prayer is that this book would minister grace to my sisters in Christ who struggle to put one foot in front of the other as we long for Jesus’ return.
You can order the book from the Estore for the next two weeks using coupon code FGBFA79S to receive 20% off. Email me at theologyforwomen@gmail.com for a code to receive 30% off for orders of 10 or more. If you want to do the study in a group, each book contains pages to write out reflections along with discussion questions at the end. I have three free copies to give away. Please comment below, and I’ll randomly draw names on Saturday.
**I need to edit this to say I’ll be giving 4 copies away and will draw names on Friday. I think there are too many names already to wait until Saturday. Thank you all for the overwhelming response.**
This sounds like a book I'd love to read. My burdens in life feel overwhelming right now.
Would loved to read this! Loved your previous book!
A Christian book for women I might actually read! : ) So tired of books/classes/etc that are through the lens of marriage, motherhood, roles, etc. Excited about your book, and appreciate your humility. I think I'd be terrified if I had a book being published…
Sounds great! Count me in, please. 🙂
Can't wait to read it, Wendy, and share it with my study group.
I'm looking forward to reading it! I'm going through Practical Theology for Women right now.

LOVE your books. I did Practical Theology for Women with a group of friends. We have been so excited about this release! Can't wait to buy it. That is, if I'm not lucky enough to win a copy. 🙂
Would love to add it to my 2013 reading list!
I have been searching for something like this!!! Can't wait to read!!!!
Looking forward to the study. Congratulations on your accomplishment.
Congratulations on your newest book! I can't wait to read it!
I would love to read this book!
I truly can not wait to read your book. Thanks for you commitment to the Gospel.
Oh your/God's timing is so perfect. I've been fuming over a Facebook thread about why stress over homeschooling six kids is really about sinful attitudes and poor organization and not having enough joy….I need something more profitable to read. 🙂 Can't wait. LOVED your Ephesians study – I really hope this one is one our women could do – they, ahem, we, ahem, I need it. 🙂
I'd be happy to own this book!
Hurray! Thanks Wendy! (Just downloaded it to my Kindle so it can go with us to Tanzania!)
Looks like a great book!
I am interested! Thanks!
I am looking forward to reading this. Thank you for writing a book on women that is grounded in the gospel – not in our gender.
Thanks for the opportunity!
Hoping to get a study group for this book together
I just finished your 1st book and really enjoyed that.
I would like to read this one as well.

Looking forward to listening to your thoughts.
Can't wait to read it. If I win, my copy will be a gift to a friend since I already ordered a copy on Amazon.
Just the book I need to read in 2013.
Looking so forward to starting this book, Wendy! Please count me in the drawing.
Sounds wonderful. Thank you!
Looking forward to reading this! Thankful for God's using your previous book in my life. Praying He uses this new book in the lives of all the readers!
Hi Wendy,
As a French Christian writier myself I can so understand what your saying here!!! People do somehow expect us as writers to have this all perfectly under control in our lives and mastered without flaws what so ever. Actually, for me anyways, I now realize that I write more for myself than anyone else because I am in such need of growing for God's Word and Christ transformation in my life. Congratulations on your new book and may God use it to bless may women.
Can't wait to read the book!
Oh boy! I am definitely buying this if I don't win it 🙂
This sounds like a great resource.
I will read this book whether or not I win it and probably give copies away to all my favorite women! Thanks Wendy for your tireless giving to us.
I would love to read this!!
Thank you for serving the Lord and His people in offering this book.
I love reading your thoughts, thanks for sharing your life with us. My husband enjoys it too. This books sounds great.
Just finishing up our two year study in By His Wounds. Looking forward to getting into this one!
I'm really looking forward to reading and studying your book.
I so hope to get the chance to read this!
I would love to read this! Thanks so much!
” God meets us in the worst places and shows how the good news of Jesus' coming makes an all-surpassing difference in those moments.” So thankful for this truth!

I'm really looking forward to reading this someday!
Thanks for the opportunity to enter the drawing. The book sounds awesome!
I would love to win a free copy of your book! That way I'll have an extra copy to give away. Looking forward to reading it and sharing it in my study group.
Oh, this is Bev. Google doesn't seem to recognize me today….
Always encouraged by you writing, would love to read the book!
For some reason my earlier attempt to comment didn't show up. I'm looking forward to reading it either way, but would also love to win! Glad to see you now have a Kindle version available.
Just ordered one at Estore and woud like to win one to give it away!
A good time to write that I am enriched by your regular blogging. Women's ministries have never appealed to me. Honestly, probably because of my own sinful attitudes. But the women's ministries that tell me I am a princess make me want to puke and the women's ministries that tell me to homeschool and bake bread make me want to go gluten-free. Your blogs are the closest I've ever come to being part of a “women's ministry.” Thank you!
I'd love to read your new book, even as I finish your study on Ephesians and enjoy your blog posts. Congrats!
Wow. I think this would be a good book for me to read these days.
I'd really enjoy reading and learning from your new book.
I would love to win a copy! But don't worry, if I don't I will make sure to buy one. Loved loved the Ephesians study. 🙂
I always love reading your blog, so I imagine I'd love the book too!
I'd love to read this as well. Please count me in the drawing 🙂
I am very excited to read this! Thank you! =)
I really enjoyed your last book and have benefited a lot from following along as you ponder and aooly your faith on this blog so would love to read this one too. Thanks Wendy!
Thank you for being real Wendy and for keeping our eyes on Jesus and not on ourselves.
I've already ordered it on Amazon, as I live in the Uk, so please don't enter me in the draw! But I just wanted to say that, like your Ephesians study, this is suddenly here at the precise moment I need it. Thank you.
Just ordered mine from Amazon – have to have paper pages! Looking forward to reading it.
Here are the winners of the free copies.
